A youth-led movement for mental wellness across Tallahassee and the Big Bend region.

The Tallahassee Youth Mental Health Collective (TYMHC) is a community-rooted initiative that connects high schools, colleges, graduate programs, and training institutions to promote mental health awareness, reduce stigma, and improve access to culturally competent care.

We serve as a one-stop hub for connecting youth, families, and educators with local mental health resources — bridging gaps between schools, healthcare systems, and community services.

At the heart of the Collective is our Youth Mental Health Council — an intergenerational leadership body of students and early career professionals who guide our programs, co-design initiatives, and serve as advocates and mentors within their communities.

What we do

Youth-Led Advocacy

We elevate youth voices to reduce stigma and promote mental health policy reform through storytelling, public events, and civic engagement.

Education & Awareness

We offer workshops, campaigns, and peer-led discussions to increase mental health literacy in schools, colleges, and community spaces.

Mentorship & Leadership Development

Through the Youth Mental Health Council, we build intergenerational mentorship ladders that connect high school students, college leaders, and clinician-mentors.

Resource Navigation

We serve as a central hub for finding local mental health resources — helping youth and families access culturally responsive care in the Big Bend region.
